Sustainability at Expert Wealth

Wherever possible, we aim to operate in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner – to make the world a better place for current and future generations. All businesses have an impact on the planet, and that impact affects us all.

Our carbon dioxide emissions overall are already quite low but we’re aiming to have a positive social and environmental impact by working towards a “net-positive” contribution. We’re committed to becoming as sustainable as possible.

We have a carbon footprint policy in place and we follow these guidelines:

Recycling

Using waste-conscious recyclable materials (as few materials as possible). We use recycling bins throughout the office and train our team on effective recycling.

Renewable power

Our electricity supply is generated in part by solar panels to reduce consumption and we make sure our computers are powered down when not in use to avoid unnecessary usage.

Remote working

We allow employees to work remotely for part of the working week, which reduces commuting emissions and helps cut energy consumption in the office.

Travel

We run a bike to work scheme and several key members of the team cycle to work whenever possible. We encourage everyone to use transport that is better for the environment.

Community

We support causes and charities that align with our vision and values. We’re proud to be actively involved with organisations such as Wild Oxfordshire and The Nasio Trust.

Reporting

We will continue to monitor our emissions on an ongoing basis. We are always looking out for new ways to reduce our carbon footprint and welcome any ideas you may have.

Our offsets

Our carbon footprint is comparable with other small businesses, but there are some emissions we cannot reduce or avoid. That’s why it is important for us to offset this by supporting other projects within the community and around the world. This year, we have contributed to the following:

  • 30 tonnes of carbon dioxide removal by supporting community-based carbon reduction projects – you can see the certificate here
  • 30 tonnes of COâ‚‚e planting trees in the south-east of the UK – you can see the certificate here.

We will continue to contribute to projects that offset our carbon emissions, as well as identify other ways to make a difference in future.

Sustainability matters to us

At Expert Wealth, we will help you navigate the occasionally perilous world of ESG investments – investing that considers environmental, social, and governance factors – ensuring that your investments match your values across the whole sustainability spectrum.

Our experts understand that you want to invest sustainably while still achieving your financial goals. As you can see above, a focus on ESG factors is just as important to us too.
