At Expert Wealth Management weā€™re delighted to say that weā€™ve recently been working with Tim Hale. Tim is the author of an incredibly popular book, Smarter Investing: Simple Decisions For Better Results.
Smarter Investing provides a simple, yet powerful set of rules for successful investing. The book has been well recognised by business professionals and thus FT Prentice Hall have published a third edition; highlighting its success and continuous popularity within the industry.
Before writing this useful book, Tim studied Zoology at the University of Oxford and from this went on to work in Corporate Banking for Standard Chartered in Hong Kong for four years. From this experience he gained an insight and a passion for the corporate investment sector and therefore went back to University to study the subject in more detail.
Tim accomplished a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Cranfield University in 1991. He then went on to work at JP Morgan Asset Management for 10 years in influential cities such as London, Hong Kong and New York. However, whilst working there Tim became disillusioned with the active management industry and decided that passive management was a highly effective means of becoming a successful investor.

Tim is now managing director of Albion Strategic Consulting where he adopted this philosophy. Albion specialise in helping high end, boutique financial planning firms to deliver simple, yet sophisticated client portfolios.
