On 26 April, Professional Adviser hosted their 17th annual awards. Celebrating success across our profession, the ceremony acknowledges adviser firms and individuals at the top of their game.

With regional prizes and multiple awards up for grabs, it’s fiercely competitive. A win in any category is a mark of commitment and professionalism, and great news for the winner’s clients too.

Expert Wealth’s Sue and Harry headed to London for the black-tie event, and an unexpected award.

Adviser Firm of the Year

The Professional Adviser awards gave us a chance to showcase our knowledge, skill, and commitment. The three things that we believe made you, and the rest of our clients, want to work with us in the first place.

The judging panel looked for evidence of an outstanding, client-focused, and repeatable advice process – exactly what we deliver. Responding to a case study provided by the Personal Finance Society gave us a great opportunity to highlight our expert knowledge and diligent approach.

It was the same approach, in fact, that we take when advising you:

• We begin by exploring your aims and dreams
• We discover more about your aspirations and the financial objectives that can get you there; planning how to make your dreams a reality
• Then we implement our plan and provide exemplary ongoing service to provide reassurance and a sense of control.

This approach won us our first award of the night, the regional prize for Adviser Firm of the Year for the South East.

But the awards didn’t end there.

The marquee prize, and the most highly coveted honour of the annual event, is the national award.

Having never entered the awards before, we didn’t know what to expect but Sue and Harry – our representatives for the evening – had a great night.

Winning the regional and national awards was the icing on the cake.

“It was brilliant,” says Sue. “And so unexpected, especially the first time around. I think I did a little dance on the way up to collect the trophy!”

Jonathan and Dom weren’t able to make the event and are both still in shock.

“We’re delighted,” says Dom. “Our VouchedFor success, based on feedback from our clients, was very special. Now, to have that validation from the adviser profession too is remarkable.”

It’s a real testament to the team, and the ethos that we have here at Expert Wealth” adds Jonathan. “I’m over the moon for everyone. I’m not sure I’m come down off the ceiling yet!”
