Well known to the EWM Family, Abraham is the CEO of the irreverent research consultancy FinalytiQ and founder of Timeline the software that we use to help us understand and best advise our clients when to comes to drawing an income from their portfolio in retirement.

As well as his book “Beyond the 4% Rule – The Science of Retirement Portfolios that Last a Lifetime”, he has authored several industry papers and organised the hugely successful Science of Retirement Conference to bring the latest research from around the world to the UK financial planning community.

We couldn’t agree more with Paul Samuelson that an investment portfolio should aim for steady growth rather than taking risks for the chance of making gains, however exciting or tempting that may be. 2019 saw a continued trend for the UK retail market to adopt the same approach, with net outflows from active funds of £3.1bn and net inflows to passive funds of £21.5bn for the year to date at the end of October.
